WHO ARE WE?

The Lab operates at the intersection of research, community practice, and media. By combining qualitative narrative collection, thematic analysis, educational programming, and public-facing dissemination through reports and digital platforms, Black Health Narratives Lab bridges the gap between community voice and health equity policy.

Flagship initiatives focus on Black men’s stress and emotional health, youth racialized stress experiences, and community-based healing spaces that do not tone-police expression while maintaining structured, evidence-informed facilitation. The Lab prioritizes culturally grounded engagement while upholding ethical standards in data collection, consent, and research integrity.

Black Health Narratives Lab serves as the community-facing extension of scholarly work on racialized stress, health inequities, and structural determinants of health. Its long-term vision is to ensure that Black lived experience directly informs intervention design, institutional practice, and policy change.
